Dr Zoran Kostov is a university professor and National Director of Habitat for Humanity in Macedonia. In addition to his specialization in communication, he has extensive training and experience in mobilizing civil society for economic and social development. Alumni of Harvard Kennedy School’s executive education and London School of Economics’ Centre for the Study of Global Governance, Zoran’s areas of expertise include strategic management, microfinance, social entrepreneurship, poverty reduction and social inclusion. After joining Habitat in 2005 he was the principal developer of its program portfolio in Macedonia, overseeing nowadays operations that include financing, construction, residential buildings management, social research, volunteer mobilization and advocacy. During the past 10 years, his particular interest has been focused on testing market-based financing models for improving the energy efficiency of the residential sector.
