Sumedha works at the World Resources Institute (WRI) which is a global research organization that works with governments, businesses, multilateral institutions, and civil society groups to develop practical solutions that improve people’s lives and protect nature. WRI and its partners advance green growth through initiatives like the NDC partnership, the Buildings Efficiency Accelerator, Science-based targets initiative and most recently the Zero Carbon Buildings Accelerator.

Sumedha manages the Zero Carbon Buildings Accelerator project, which helps the government address building sector CO2 emissions through national ZCB roadmaps, subnational action plans and initiating adoption of policies to support stakeholders to accelerate the market transformation towards ZCBs. Sumedha also leads the work on energy transition in Indian cities.

Sumedha has over 12 years of experience working in the energy and climate sector. Prior to WRI, Sumedha was working with ICF on a portfolio of different projects covering Low Emissions Development strategies, energy performance standards for appliances and utility demand-side management activities.
