Dr Steffen Wetzstein is a critical Social Scientist, Political Economist and Expert Consultant with wide-ranging research, teaching, policy and consultancy interests relating to urban transformations; especially in the areas of affordable housing, housing policies and strategic planning; liveability and quality of life; economic development and corporate social responsibility; governance and regulation as well as globalization and international policy transfer. He draws on more than 25 years of professional experience in academic, policy and private sectors across Germany, Australia and New Zealand. He is currently an Adjunct Research Fellow at the School of Social Science at the University of Western Australia, a Joint Working Group Coordinator ‘Policy and Research’ at the European Network for Housing Research (ENHR) as well as an URBACT Lead Expert for a 10-city pan-European consortium seeking to mobilize corporate social responsibility for better urban outcomes.
