Edoardo Concari Coppola is the Buildings Policy Coordinator at Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe, Europe’s leading NGO coalition fighting dangerous climate change, with over 170 member organisations active in 38 European countries, representing over 1.500 NGOs and more than 47 million citizens. In his role, Edoardo advocates for fair and progressive policies to accelerate the decarbonisation of the building sector and the transition towards a sustainable, highly energy efficient and renewable-based building stock across Europe. His work mainly focuses on the implementation of the European Commission’s Renovation Wave strategy, including the revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and the relevant elements of the Fit for 55 legislative package. Edoardo has been working for several years on EU policies, particularly on energy and housing, and he also had previous experiences at the European Commission and the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU.
