Edmond Vardumyan is the Chief Executive Officer of National Mortgage Company, a financial institution established by the Central Bank of Armenia to provide stability and affordability to the mortgage market in Armenia. Working closely with international institutions, such as the EU, AFD, KfW, and UNDP, the Company aims to make mortgage loans affordable for low- and middle-income families and improve people’s housing conditions in Armenia. Before joining the Company in 2017, Edmond worked at the Central bank of Armenia for over ten years as the head of the FX reserves risk management unit and then as the deputy head of the financial system stability department. In parallel, he lectures on risk management in financial institutions. Edmond holds a PhD in Economics from Yerevan State University and an MBA from Imperial College London. He is also a PRM certificate holder.
