Andrew Popelka is a Senior Energy Advisor in the Europe & Eurasia Bureau of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), supporting the agency’s energy sector reform agenda and energy efficiency programs in Southeast Europe and in Eastern Partnership countries. He holds a MSME degree from the Technical University in Brno, Czech Republic. Prior to joining the agency in 2014 he worked as an independent consultant on a multitude of projects in the US, Europe, Asia and in Africa, promoting energy efficiency, and supporting investment in efficient heat and power generation, industrial facilities, public buildings, and in residential sector. Andrew lives in Acton, Massachusetts.
