Alice is an architect, urban designer and strategist specialised in the future of cities. Originally from London, she is currently based in Amsterdam where she leads the work on just transition in the built environment at Laudes Foundation, a philanthropy tackling the dual crises of inequality and climate change. Her mission is to create a regenerative and inclusive built environment with labour rights and housing rights at its core.

Prior to this Alice was Strategic Design Lead at Space&Matter architects, leading a strategy and consulting team dedicated to transforming cities into circular and inclusive economies. Prior to this she spent two years as in-house futurist at UNStudio architects, helping clients to set better briefs for buildings and neighbourhoods in the Netherlands and abroad. Prior to this she worked in London at HawkinsBrown architects, at Publica Associates and the London Legacy Development Corporation, where she helped envision a new arts district for the Olympic Park.

To inspire the next generation Alice also teaches at architecture schools in the Netherlands. In 2022 she led a design studio at Fontys Academy in Tilburg focused on digitalization and circularity; in 2021 she led a research studio exploring heritage and utopia at the Amsterdam Academy for Architecture; and in 2020 a design studio on developing the city from non-human perspectives at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She also co-runs In-Between Economies, an urban think-tank that explores how technology affects city-making.
